Portfolio Choices

About two to three months after enrolling, participants are familiar with the mentorship’s education about buying, diversifying and selling growth stocks.

That’s when participants begin choosing their Take-Home Portfolio of at least 10 stocks. Students make their portfolio choices from ShareOwner’s pre-screened selection of over 200 high-quality growth stocks and 30 exchange-traded funds.

Mentor's Feedback

Students submit their proposed Take-Home Portfolio to their mentor for review and written feedback. The mentor’s commentary includes observations regarding:
  (1) the growth fundamentals of the Portfolio's stocks;
  (2) the effectiveness of their diversification; and,
  (3) the details of your plan for testing the Portfolio’s future      performance during the balance of the mentorship.

Buying Whole and Fractional Shares

After finalizing your Portfolio, it is easy to begin testing its future performance. You simply make affordable purchases of $10 to $1,000 per stock.

Your money purchases whole and fractional shares (to four decimals).  All scheduled mentorship trading is commission-free.

For example, suppose you decide to make a sample investment of $10 in one of your stocks that is trading at $35. The purchase would result in 0.2857 shares being deposited to your Mentorship Account.

Investor Protection

Mentorship Accounts are administered by our trading affiliate, Canadian ShareOwner Investments Inc., a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund.

Unlimited Trading

Mentorship purchases and sales are without commission charges. All trading is online and uses our affiliate’s scheduled, dollar-based trading service.

Dollar-based trading provides for the purchase and sale of whole and fractional shares.

Monitoring Performance

Monthly Account statements report your portfolio’s performance in relation to that of the Toronto Stock Exchange’s Composite Index and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index.

‘Carrying On’ or ‘Cashing Out'

When your mentorship concludes, you can convert your mentorship account to a retirement, tax-free savings or trading account. Alternatively, you can use mentorship trading to liquidate your Account, without charge.

Continuing Education

Graduates can continue their access to ShareOwner's educational case studies and software at preferential subscription rates.

“I am one of the happiest men around. I have been reading Top Stock Case Studies for a number of years and I always find the articles helpful and profitable…The result is the nicest Porsche you have ever seen…Thank you and keep up the good work. I tell everyone exactly how I bought the car.”
